Children's Home... Prakash’s Story

Jesus said: Let the little children come unto Me.

The numbness grew gradually. Prakash could see it in his father. Numbness all over. Prakash’s father was a LEPER - an outcast - forsaken by his family and relatives, even by his wife. Prakash, was but a child and left to the world's mercy. Our Pastor, visiting the villages of Orissa found him. He was taken to our Children's Home and he grew up there.
Now a God-fearing, strapping lad in Grade 10 of a local school, Prakash owes his life to his GOD and his parents. Their kind hearts who inquire after him and spend their money to bring him up are very proud at the progress he has made.
IET runs Children's Homes for orphans and poor children. You too could be involved in this ministry of compassion and make a difference in a child's life.

Missionaries... A Helping Hand

How lovely are the feet of him that brings Good News.

Yet they press on with God's Word on their lips and the love of Christ in their hearts - into the deep interior of places not easily accessible.
IET supports missionaries in most states of India. As they take the Gospel to the lands unknown, you too, go with them. Help raise a missionary. Why don't you Adopt a Missionary.

Counseling... We Care

Life can only be endured victoriously when the Gospel is close to our hearts. You may hurt and may need someone to talk or write to.

Publications... The Word

"The missionaries taught us to read and write. But it is the Communists who gave us material to read," remarked Mahatma Gandhi's son. Quite true.

IET has a publications division called FAITH PUBLICATIONS, which seeks to remedy this unbalance. It publishes magazines in many different Indian languages. It also translates popular books into local languages.

Technical School... Lift them up

In India's caste ridden society, a scavenger by caste find it difficult for his children to change their profession.

IET has plans to open a technical school for children such as these, and equip them with skills to break through the barrier of untouchability. We have purchased a piece of land for this purpose and are praying for a building.

Training... Weave a Net

IET runs a 3 year BTh course at Panthankot, Punjab. Other regional language courses are also held for a shorter term of 6 months.
Our doors are open for the spirited and zestful and we prepare them for the roaring waves of ministry. After training, they go out into the high seas for a big catch of spiritual fish - for ventures new and exciting.
Preaching the Gospel

You may be interested in joining our Bible training schools. Else, you could help us weave the net by sponsoring one student and be a partner with him as he goes to lands that have never heard the Gospel and proclaims the Good News.

Film ministry... The Magic Lantern

For the unlettered, seeing is believing. Over 60% of the Indian population is illiterate. To reach them with the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ, the visual media is the most effective.
IET teams tour the backyards of civilization with projectors and Christian films. Hundreds are touched as the whole village gathers to see the story of Jesus - who gave His life for their sins. It is not uncommon to see several cry openly and later give their hearts to Christ.

Pastor's seminars... Body Building

IET conducts over 10 pastors seminars every month in different regions of India. We realize the necessity of building up people for spiritual warfare. These seminars not only provide a well-deserved physical rest, but also spiritual refreshment and motivate them to strive towards new horizons.

Several tell us regularly of the new turn their lives, and that of their ministries took as a result of these seminars.

Crusades... Casting the net

IET organizes 7 large and hundreds of small crusades, every year. Our Crusades are a major way we reach out to towns and cities. The lost converge into a sea of humanity to hear of a Savior who can grant them a new life!

The Christians in the capital of India, New Delhi still remembers the first major crusade we conducted. It brought the Christians in the capital together as one body for the first time. The bonds of unity are now stronger. It was also a major blow to the kingdom of darkness, and as a result the churches in Delhi have seen a tremendous breakthrough and growth. Help us cast the net and bring in a mighty catch of fish.

Mercy Ministry
Cattle for many wouldn't mean much. But for an unfortunate, on the verge of falling into the flesh trade, a cow or a buffalo could make a major difference.

Natural Calamities
Natural calamities are a frequent occurrence in our nation. We have responded with a helping hand to the disaster- stricken people with the love of Christ.

The massive earthquake in Latur, Maharashtra, which saw over 40,000 die, had us involved in rescue and relief acts.

Educating the Children
IET provides school uniforms and tuition fees to the poor children gives them an opportunity to stand on their own feet one day.

Adult Literacy
In a nation with the largest population of illiterate people in the world, we have 600 adult education centers all over the country, to teach the aged adults to read and write.
